A weekly PDF became a scraper, a tiny website, then a mobile app built around each student.
Overview
In French preparatory classes, oral exams are called khôlles. Finding the right slot meant opening a slow school website, downloading a PDF, locating a group and interpreting the matching row. I first tested whether that friction could disappear, then turned the proof into a larger product with a friend.
Inside the project
A small scraper turned the school’s recurring PDF into structured data and a faster web view. The remaining annoyance was obvious: students still selected their group every time. The mobile app moved that choice to onboarding, remembered it, then added exam programmes and weighted grade tracking.
