Overview

ÖKO filters have a finite lifespan. I designed and built the app alone, then evolved it for four years as the range grew from bottles to tap filtration.

Inside the project

The daily action belongs outside the app

One gesture from the home screen

Opening the app for every refill recreated the friction it was meant to remove. The widget keeps the current bottle visible and records the common volumes directly from the iOS home screen.

ÖKO Counter

Interactive web reproduction of the iOS widget. It runs locally and is not connected to an ÖKO account.

The rest can happen more quietly

A bottle still needs a simple count. Tap-water filters instead use postcode, local water characteristics and time to estimate replacement. The interface stays simple because the calculation does not become the customer’s job.
